Qatar Racing's SCIENCE Wins at Catterick in UK

London, July 24 (QNA) - Qatar Racing's SCIENCE (IRE) (No Nay Never x Princess Desire) made it third time lucky at Catterick, UK, an evening for the colors of Qatar Racing Limited. Trained by Archie Watson and ridden by Hollie Doyle, the bay colt made all the running in the British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes over six furlongs. He stretched out well in the final furlong to pull clear of his rivals and win by 4 lengths. SHESAHEART (GB) (Brazen Beau x Shesastar), trained by Ann Duffield was the runner-up under Paul Mulrennan. ROYAL GUARD (GER) (Holy Roman Emperor x Relizane), trained by Richard Fahey was further three-quarters of a length behind in third under David Nolan. SCIENCE had finished a very close second on his debut, and, clearly highly estimated by his connections, then lined up in the Group 2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot where he came up the center of the track, but having done too much too soon weakened at the finish. He was back to his best at Catterick on Wednesday and will no doubt head back into Group company over the summer. SCIENCE is by Coolmore sire NO NAY NEVER and out of the DANEHILL mare PRINCESS DESIRE. He was bought at the Tattersalls Book 1 Yearling Sale. (QNA)
