Qatar Take on Jordan in Preparation of 2019 Asian Cup

Doha, December 23 (QNA) - Qatar national football team will face Jordanian counterpart on Sunday in a friendly at Khalifa International Stadium as they are preparing for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup. Qatar's national football team continues its daily training in preparation for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup in the UAE, which will kick off on 5 Jan. Qatar play in Group E alongside Lebanon, North Korea, and Saudi Arabia. The Qatari team will play four friendly matches during the last week of December, starting with Jordan on Sunday then facing Kyrgyzstan on 25 Dec before taking on the Algerian team on 27 Dec, and the final friendly match will be against Iran on 31 Dec. On Saturday, all team members trained at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium in Al Sadd Club. Qatar's coach Felix Sanchez focused during the training on some physical and tactical aspects. Sanchez also concentrated on a number of issues related to the game plan against the Jordanian team. (QNA)
