Qatar Team Beat Bosnian Counterparts in Handball Friendly

Doha, January 03 (QNA) - Qatar national handball team secured a 30-22 win over Bosnian counterparts in the second friendly match on Thursday. The handball friendly was in the frame of its preparation for the upcoming IHF 2019 World Men's Handball Championship scheduled from 10-27 January in Germany and Denmark. Qatar national handball teams made a remarkable 33-16 win over Bosnian counterparts in a friendly match on Wednesday. The Qatar handball team played two matches against Belarus. In the first one, Qatar secured a 26-26 draw against Belarus counterparts, while in the second the Qatari team made a 27-19 win over Belarus. Qatar are in Group D along with Angola, Egypt, Hungary, Sweden and Argentina. World champions France are in Group A which also includes Russia, Germany, Serbia, Brazil and South Korea. Group B comprises Spain, Croatia, Macedonia, Iceland, Bahrain and Japan while co-hosts Denmark spearhead Group C that also has Norway, Austria, Tunisia, Chile and Saudi Arabia. Qatar will start their campaign against Angola on January 11 and will play against Egypt, two days later. Al Anabi's next two matches are scheduled on January 14 and 16 against Hungary and Sweden respectively. Qatar will play their last preliminary round match against Argentina on January 17. (QNA)
