Scott Sunderland Wins Opening Stage of Le Tour de Langkawi

KUALA TERENGGANU (Terengganu), Feb 22 (Bernama) -- Australian rider, Scott Sunderland of IsoWhey Sports SwissWellness Cycling Team won the opening stage of Le Tour de Langkawi stretching a distance of 124.8 km from Kuala Berang to Kuala Terengganu, here Wednesday. The victory saw Sunderland won the blue jersey as 'King of Sprint' and also the yellow jersey as the overall leader. Chief judge awarded the same time of two hours 54 minutes and 45 seconds after eight top riders crossed the finishing line in a bunch finish. Malaysian rider, Nur Amirul Fakhruddin Mazuki of Terengganu cycling team won the polka dot jersey as 'King of Mountain'. -- BERNAMA
