Sports Information Committee Launches Promotional Booklets on Qatar in Cuba America

Sao Paulo, Brazil, June 12 (QNA) - The Qatari Sports Information Committee will launch four promotional booklets on the State of Qatar in four world languages, on the sidelines of 2019 Cuba America which will kick off in Brazil on Friday and conclude on July 7. The Qatari team is taking part upon an invitation sent to the Asian champion by the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL), to be the first Arab team to participate in this tournament, which includes the teams of Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Venezuela, Paraguay, Japan, Ecuador and Bolivia. The promotional booklets, which carry the title "Qatar.. Legacy and Vision", will contribute to promote for the culture and heritage of the State of Qatar, and introduce its historical, geographical, tourism and economic aspects. The booklets will also shade light on the sports aspect with highlights Qatar while completing its preparations for the 2022 World Cup. They will provide a comprehensive overview of the country's most prominent achievements in the field of sports and how it became a sports capital, having succeeded in the organization of successful tournaments and sporting events held during the last few years. Working on the brochures took more than four months, and the issuance will be in four languages, namely: Arabic (the official language of the state), Portuguese as the brochures will be distributed in Brazil which will host the tournament, Spanish which is the official language of the rest of South American countries, and English which is the first global communication language among countries. The booklets will be distributed to more than 4,000 journalists and media professionals representing South American countries, as well as journalists from Europe who will be present to cover the events of the oldest tournament in history. The 136-page brochure will highlight Qatar's remarkable achievements in all sectors, including sports and the accomplishments made in the sports facilities and stadiums which will host the 2022 World Cup. The booklet will also highlight the leading sports facilities in the State of Qatar, including Aspire and Aspetar, and will include speeches for HE President of the Qatar Media Corporation Sheikh Hamad bin Thamer Al-Thani, and Qatari sports media personalities. The booklets will provide a rich and reliable source for Qatar's march towards achieving a sustainable legacy for generations and Qatar National Vision 2030. (QNA)
