Riyadh, (BNA): Under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Honorary President of KHK MMA, BRAVE 21 took place on Friday (December 28) in Jeddah. Organised by Bahrain Brave Federation, the event was held at King Abdullah Sports City's hall featuring 20 players representing 11 countries, including KHM MMA fighter Hamza "Bahrain Pride" Al Kooheji.
The event witnessed huge turnout from MMA Saudi enthusiasts. On this occasion, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who attended the event, hailed historical relations between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, stating that these relations are characterised by unanimity thanks to the support of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and his brother King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the King of Saudi Arabia.
Moreover, HH Shaikh Khalid pointed out the special position Saudi Arabia occupies among the Bahraini leadership, government and people. Furthermore, he stressed that Saudi has a leading role in the region, which has contributed to pushing the collaboration among GCC states towards new horizons and spreading peace. He described Saudi as the beating heart and the safety valve of the Islamic and Arab worlds.
HH Shaikh Khalid considered that the BRAVE 21, in Jeddah, was a great success, confirming his vision to spread this sport all over the world. "The development of sports in Bahrain is thanks to HM the King's support, which has led to achieving many major successes at the international level. This was made possible also thanks to the constant follow-up of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee. This has been clear in 2018, which was declared as the Year of Gold, in which Bahrain has won 400 medals, including more than 160 gold medals," HH Shaikh Khalid said.
Lastly, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa congratulated the winners in BRAVE 21.
