World Athletics Championships: Lewandowski Reaches Final of 1500 Meter Race

Doha, October 05 (QNA) - Poland's Marcin Lewandowski reached Friday the final of the 1500 meters for men, which is held as part of the World Athletics Championships hosted by Doha. Lewandowski finished the race in 3:36.50 minutes. Kenya's Timothy Cheruiyot finished second after completing the race in 3:36.53 minutes. Algeria's Taoufik Makhloufi also qualified to the final after completing the race in 3:36.69 minutes. He told Qatar News Agency that he was delighted to reach the final, especially that the intensity of competition was really high. He added that he will now focus on recovering before the final on Sunday. He praised the Qatari organization of the event, noting that he did not feel the heat or humidity in the stadium at all. (QNA)
