Toshiba Unveils Hybrid Multi-Function Printer

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 4 (Bernama) --Toshiba TEC Malaysia Sdn Bhd Thursday launched the world’s first hybrid multi-function printer (MFP), Toshiba Hybrid MFP series. Toshiba TEC Director/Chief Executive Officer, Paul Ting, said the models had the ability to recycle and reuse papers within a single device at no additional cost through its erasable print function. “This new technology will save the amount of paper used by least between six and seven times each without affecting the quality of the printout through its internal heating process,” he told a media briefing after the launch of the product here Thursday. He said the device would help save the environment and reduce the effects of deforestation brought upon by excessive use of paper since it could save for up to 5,000 sheets of papers for one tree. Toshiba's new line-up is available at major authorised outlets nationwide, with prices ranging close to RM70,000. --BERNAMA
