Afghan business delegation visits Pardis new city

TEHRAN, Oct. 14 (MNA) – Afghanistan’s minister of urban development affairs visited Pardis new city and Mehr housing projects on Monday accompanied by some of Iran’s Road, Housing and Urban Development Research Center (BHRC) officials. As part of their third working day in Tehran, the Afghan business delegation led by their Minister of Urban Development Affairs Sadat Mansoor Naderi also visited the Research Center of Roads, Housing and Urban Development Ministry on Monday evening. At a meeting attended by the Afghan delegation and high-ranking officials of the center, Dr. Shekarchizadeh, Head of BHRC, welcomed the Afghan minister and referred to the research and scientific background of BHRC; “we express our complete readiness to boost bilateral research and scientific collaboration regarding with different and relevant fields,” he added. Afghanistan minister expressed satisfaction towards the great achievements of BHRC and called for exploitation of their great experiences in relevant parts in his country. The last meeting of the Afghan delegation was held in the central branch of the City Bank of Iran (Bank Shahr) at the official invitation of the CEO and Vice Chairman of the bank. Hossein Mohammadpour Zarandi, CEO and Vice Chairman of the City Bank of Iran, described the 7-year history of the bank as one of the leading banks in terms of providing banking facilities in the fields of housing and urban planning. “During the seven years since the establishment of the bank, we have managed to gain the trust of citizens in accordance with the most modern banking activities increasing our bankroll from 58 million dollars to 550 million dollars,” Mohammadpour Zarandi stressed. He further expressed readiness to offer their experiences to Afghanistan’s banking sector in order to establish a similar bank in Afghanistan at the will of Iran’s government. Sadat Mansoor Naderi, for his part, appreciated the hospitality of Iran’s government and said, “promotion of welfare and prosperity of neighboring countries leads to our own success in turn and seeking modernization and improvement of our cities in Afghanistan, we are ready to provide national and international private sectors with great investment opportunities.” “The rapid growth of your bank is an indication of sound management and commitment to serve the nation; therefore, we support the establishment of similar facilities for Afghan people,” he concluded.
