Bali Receives 2.4 Million Foreign Tourists Up To August

Denpasar, Bali, Oct 21 (Antara) - Some 2.4 million foreign tourists visited Bali from January to August 2014, up 15.5 percent from 2.1 million from the same period last year. Bali still has its magical power that could lure foreign visiters, Dewa Rai Budiasa, a tourism industry observer, said here on Tuesday. Of the total number, 624,803 tourists or 25.76 percent came from Australia. The number of Chinese tourists was 389,622, or up 47.36 percent from 264,409 people in last year`s same period. Malaysia was third in the list with 137,060 tourists, an increase of 14.07 percent.
