Cacao Prices Up In Palu

Palu, C Sulawesi, May 13 (Antara) - The price of cacao beans in Palu, Central Sulawesi, increased on Monday after a sharp fall last week. Traders in Palu said the price of cacao beans rose to a normal level of Rp20,000 from per kilogram after falling to Rp18,000 earlier. "We buy cacao beans at a price based on the price set by exporters," a local trader Yuyun said, adding the price always follow the price in international market. He said traders sell cacao beans to exporters Rp100 - Rp150 higher than the price they pay to farmers. Meanwhile, the price of clove is stable at Rp120,000 per kilogram and copra at Rp3,800 per kilogram.
