Iran's gas output to rise by 44 bcm next near: oil minister

Tehran, Nov 22, IRNA – Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zangeneh said Friday that Iran's gas output will increase 44 billion cubic meters in the next Iranian calendar year in comparison to that of the beginning of this year (March 21). Zangeneh who was delivering a speech during a meeting with regional managers of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company said that this additional gas will replace part of liquid fuels being used in the country. The minister said that he is monitoring every day measures taken to supply fuel needed during winter and that he asks the help of distribution companies to this end. With increase in gas output, the government will reduce fueling the industries with gas oil and diesel oil within the next three years and will replace these fuels with gas, he added. /end
