S. Leader: Iran's Economy Must Steer Clear Of Western Economies

Tehran, May 26, IRNA – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali khamenei said on Sunday that Iranian economy must steer clear of the western economies and Iran will never make compromise with the bullying powers. The Supreme Leader said that the western governments negligence of the international law accounts for crimes against humanity citing the arbitrary sanctions on Iran. The Supreme Leader told Members of Parliament that they must provide legislation in line with the resistance economy and lay the foundation of national economy independent of the crude oil exports. The Supreme Leader said that the lawmakers should regard the philosophy of resistance to the bullying power, otherwise, the independent economy will not take shape. The Supreme Leaders advised the MPs to go ahead with legislative provisions to help the mentality of life without the western economy, because the experience proved that the western governments are not trustworthy and they have always seized the opportunity to strike blow to Iran. The Supreme Leader said that Iranian economy has extensive capacity to flourish despite the arbitrary sanctions of the western governments. He asserted that the current shortcomings can be removed by utilizing the national capacities and their resolution should not be linked to the western economies. Iran is a peace seeking country, but, in such a complicated world, the country should be prepared to defend itself vis-a-vis various types of political, social, economic or cultural challenges, Ayatollah Khamenei noted. He underlined that the nation and government should strengthen themselves in all fields to thwart the challenges.
