Anti-drug Police Chief Unsatisfied With Amount Of Int'l Aid To Iran

Tehran, Oct 9, IRNA – Chief of Anti-Drug Police said Tuesday that the amount of international assistance to Iran for fighting drug trafficking and narcotics trade is too little.
General Ali Moayyedi made the remarks while talking to reporters on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of the 9th International Conference of Drug Liaison Officers.
Moayyedi said the fall in international assistance to Iran is resulted from the US and western anti-Iran approaches.
He reiterated that fighting narcotics trade is impossible without cooperation with world countries, particularly the neighboring countries and the Persian Gulf littoral states.
The international representatives present in the conference called for more global assistance to Iran which is the pioneer in fighting drug smuggling./end
