India kicks off trade operation in Chabahar Port

Tehran, Jan 7, IRNA – Indian government on Monday announced that it has kicked off trade operation in Chabahar port through berthing a Cyprus cargo ship carrying some 72 million tons of corn According to the statement, issued by Indian shipping ministry, India officially took responsibility for part of Chabahar port in Sistan-Baluchestan Province. The statement reads that based on the trilateral agreement, signed on December 24, 2018, Indian government officially assumed responsibility for part of Chabahar port. Previously representatives from India, Iran and Afghanistan opened their regional offices at Chabarhar free trade zone.
