Iran To Set Up Holy Prophet Stand In Frankfurt Book Fair 2012

Tehran, Sept 25, IRNA – Iran is to set up a special stand for books related to the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) during the Frankfurt book fair 2012, a senior official at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance said Tuesday. Head of the ministry's cultural department Ali Esmaeli made the announcement in a local meeting in the Iranian capital. Esmaeli said the move would be made in protest to the anti-Islam US-made film, 'Innocence of Muslims' which has provoked massive anger of Muslims and non-Muslims worldwide against the United States and the Zionist regime. While most of the demonstrations have been peaceful, some were marred by violence leaving over two dozens dead -- among them US Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens and three other Americans killed in an attack on the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Several printed and non-printed works and books on the life and personality of the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) is to be displayed in the exhibition to provide a true image of him and the Muslims for visitors of the exhibition which is to be held in the German city from October 10-14. Frankfurt book fair is the biggest book and media fair in the world - with around 7,500 exhibitors from over 110 countries./end
