Minister: World Learns Courtesy, Morality, Monotheism From Ferdowsi

Tehran, May 16, IRNA – Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyed Mohammad Hosseini said that people of the world learn lessons of courtesy, morality and monotheism from Ferdowsi, the Iranian well-known poet. In a commemoration ceremony on the occasion of national day of Ferdowsi in the 12-thousand populated Azadi auditorium on Wednesday evening, the minister said although Ferdowsi is not with us here, but he and his book will stay alive for the whole history. Hosseini reminded that in the Tehran International Book Fair, the Spanish translation of Shahnameh was launched. Abolqasem Ferdowsi (940-1020 AD) is the author of Shahnameh, the national epic book of Iranians and the Persian-speaking world./end
