Thai traffic police dancers campaign against drunk driving

BANGKOK, April 7 (TNA) - Dancers in traffic police uniform have entertained motorists in the heart of Bangkok as part of a national campaign against drunk-driving during the upcoming traditional Thai New Year, known as Songkran Festival. The twelve dancers in the dark grey Thai police uniform have performed the vibrant synchronized moves at the Rachaprasong Intersection, a prime business area in the Thai capital, using a song “Songkran, Don’t Drink and Drive” by a famous Thai folk rock artist Yuenyong Opakul, widely known as Aed Carabao. The dance show was recorded in a music-video to create public awareness against drunk driving during the Songkran Festival, officially falls from April 13-15, when an exodus of travelers annually floods highways for their holiday-making and water throwing. Meanwhile, the Royal Thai Police has announced that it will strictly enforce traffic rules for the sake of travelers’ safety nationwide. (TNA)
