ANKARA (A.A) - October 25, 2011 - Turkish dailies mostly covered in their Tuesday's edition the massive earthquake that hit the eastern province of Van and entrance of Turkish tanks in north of Iraq.
All the papers published stories about the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that hit Van on Sunday. Sabah daily newspaper wrote that 279 people were killed, 1,300 others were wounded. It also said 2,262 buildings collapsed and the city was jolted by 258 aftershocks.
