Turkmen Deputy PM: Cultural heritage of Turkic world has made invaluable contribution to world civilization

Turkmenistan is an integral part of the Turkic world whose cultural heritage has made an invaluable contribution to the world civilization, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan, Sapardurdu Toyliyev said, speaking at the third Summit of the Council of Turkic-Speaking States in Gabala on Friday.
"We all share a common heritage, the strengthening of which may deepen all-round cooperation between the countries to ensure peace and stability in the region and around the world," he said.
According to him, the unity of the language, spirit and enhanced integration will further unite the Turkic countries and contribute to a greater understanding.
"The development of our culture and transmission of cultural heritage from generation to generation is self-renewal of our civilisation," Toyliyev said.
According to him, the Silk Road is a symbol of unification of the Turkic people with ever increasing value.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that modern Turkmenistan is a rapidly developing country.
"The course of the President of Turkmenistan is aimed at innovative industrial development. Turkmenistan is actively applying international experience, involving technology, learning innovation and putting them into practice," he said.
Toyliyev added that Turkmenistan was able to build the economy in accordance with international standards in a relatively short time and to create a favourable economic system of relations based on the principles of neutrality, humanity and mutually beneficial cooperation.
According to him, one of the factors of construction, research and promoting the cultural heritage of Turkic-speaking countries is the humanitarian tie.
"Turkmenistan has extensive experience in international cooperation and is one of the pillars upon which the cooperation of Turkic-speaking countries is based," Deputy Prime Minister said.
Speaking of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, Toyliyev noted the active participation of representatives of the Turkic-speaking people in the scientific and cultural events organised by Turkmenistan. In particular, he mentioned the days of culture, scientific conferences and exhibitions, meetings, research and translation of scientific and philosophical heritage of the classics.
Deputy Prime Minister recalled that Turkmenistan has signed an agreement on scientific and technological cooperation with almost all the Turkic-speaking countries and relationships in this area that are currently characterised by high intensity of bilateral contacts.
He expressed confidence that the future of the scientific and technical development of these Turkic-speaking countries and identification of promising innovative scientific and technological areas will contribute to further growth and improvement of multilateral relations.
"Our civilisation, which has retained its original strength in the context of globalisation and modern challenges, is advancing. It educates the young generation in the spirit of humanitarian values," Toyliyev said.
In conclusion, the Turkmen Deputy Prime Minister expressed the hope that the meeting in Gabala will bring real benefits and contribute to further development of integration processes between the Turkic states and the enrichment of the Turkic-speaking people.
The third Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States was held in Azerbaijani city of Gabala on Aug. 16.
The summit was attended by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Turkey Abdullah Gul, President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev and Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The main topic of the discussion at the third Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States was the issues of cooperation in transport sphere and simplification of customs procedures.
The discussions also focused on further development of cooperation between organization's member countries.
A meeting of foreign ministers of the Turkic speaking states was held on the eve of the summit.
The summit's agenda and cooperation prospects within the organization were discussed during the meeting.
The Council was established in 2009 by the Member States - Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey - with a purpose to make a joint contribution to peace and stability in Eurasia. The organization's secretariat is located in Istanbul.
The city of Gabala is situated in the north of Azerbaijan, in 220 kilometres of the country's capital Baku.
