World's wealthiest man mulling investment opportunities in Turkey

MEXICO CITY (A.A) - Mexican businessman Carlos Slim Helu who is the world's wealthiest man with an estimated fortune of 74 billion USD is mulling investment opportunities in Turkey, said Rifat Hisarciklioglu, chairman of Turkey's Union of Turkish Chambers of Commerce, and Industry, or TOBB. The Mexican businessman is specifically interested in Turkey's telecommunications sector as well as in other areas, Hisarciklioglu said after meeting with Slim in Mexico City which hosted a meeting of the Turkey-Mexico Business Council.   Slim as of 2011, is the richest person in the world, for the second year in a row. He is the chairman and chief executive of telecommunications companies Telmex and America Movil and he has extensive holdings in other Mexican companies through his conglomerate, Grupo Carso SAB, as well as business interests elsewhere in the world.  Hisarciklioglu said he had invited Slim to visit Turkey, adding that he would probably visit the country in summer.
