More than 200 events have been planned in the two countries, including the exchange of delegations of journalists, meetings, forums and creation of the joint information products, Russia’s Ambassador to China Andrei Denisov told TASS on Monday. "Holding such a year is a trend of our times. Its aim is to make sure that our Chinese neighbors, the Chinese audiences judge about Russia, about developments here with the help of our Russian sources of information, first of all, of Russian journalists," he said. "And vice versa, we should too get information on China straight from the horse’s mouth. These are not only printed media, television and radio, these are also on-line resources." For example, we have recently been talking a lot about the contacts between bloggers who are quite active both in our country and here in China," the ambassador said. "If this component is included in the media exchange program, this will be a new, important and promising direction, considering the fact that we dealing with a vast audience in China - the number of China’s Internet users will soon approach 700 million.
