150m CM/day Increase In National Gas Production Capacity This Year

Tehran, April 8, IRNA – Deputy Oil Minister and Managing Director of National Iranian Oil Company, Ahmad Qalebani, said here on Sunday that 150 million cubic meters will be added to national gas production capacity a day once South Pars phases 12, 15 and 16 are operational this year. Qalebani said production from joint oil and gas fields is among the most important programs of the NIOC this year. He said South Pars phases 12, 15 and 16 will come on stream this year which will considerably increase national gas production capacity. He added that moreover, the NIOC has put on its agenda a plan to increase output of joint fields this year.
