940 MW of nuclear-powered electricity added to national grid

TEHRAN,May 1(MNA) – Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Director Fereydoun Abbasi Davani announced on Monday that the Bushehr nuclear power plant has added about 940 megawatt of electricity to the national grid. The plant, which is located near the port city of Bushehr on the coast of the Persian Gulf, will generate 1000 megawatts of electricity once it becomes fully operational. The plant has reached 94 percent of its power generation capacity so far.
