All nations have the right to peaceful nuclear energy, Jordan tells Iran

TEHRAN,July 10 (MNA) – Jordanian Prime Minister Fayez al-Tarawneh said that all countries have the right to use nuclear energy meant for peaceful purposes. Tarawneh made the remarks in Amman on Sunday during a meeting with Iranian deputy foreign minister for Arab and African affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian who travelled to Jordan on the same day to invite King Abdullah II of Jordan to the XVI Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, which is scheduled to be held in Tehran from August 26 to 31. “We have repeatedly stated that all nations have the right to peaceful use of nuclear energy,” the Jordanian prime minister said. He also commented on the Syrian crisis and said that his country has adopted a policy of non-interference and said that the killings should be stopped in the Arab country. Amir-Abdollahian stated that Iran will continue to support Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s reform plan.
