AUSTRALIAN PM SENDS GREETING

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Dedicated to the 40th anniversary of establishment diplomatic relation between Mongolia and Australia, a banquet was hold on September 12 in National Gallery of Australia. It has been given by the Embassy of Mongolia in Canberra of Australia. The Ambassador of Mongolia, R.Bold and a head of Australia-Mongolia parliamentary friendship group in Australia's parliament, Ms Kirsten Livermore addressed the gathered with conngratulations. Then Ms Livermore read a greeting from the Prime Minister of Australia, Julia Gillard. Australia and Mongolia share values and are good friends with have realistic relations, the message says. Australia opened its general consulate in Ulaanbaatar this year, Mongolia opened its Embassy in Canberra in 2008, and this shows a mutual willingness to strengthen the ties between our countries, it goes on. Australia is proud of the help its government gave to Mongolia in successful transition to democracy and free market economy, and Ms Gillard is also glad that the Mongolians who had studied in Australia on its government's scholarships are contributing to Mongolia's development. She is confident that by attracting Mongolia to the “Mining initiative for development” programme the government of Australia will help develop the mining sphere of Mongolia, she writes. Iinvestments and trade in the mineral resources sphere is one of the pillars of the cooperation, and they have been beneficial, she says in the message. At the banquet were also a Shadow Minister for Foreign affairs of Australia, Ms Julia Bishop, some MPs, representatives of state organizations.
