Azerbaijani, Iranian, Turkish FMs hold trilateral meeting

The fourth trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Iran, Turkey and Azerbaijan has been held in Ramsar city. In the meeting, Mohammad Javad Zarif, Mevlut Cavusoglu and Elmar Mammadyarov discussed common trilateral issues, fight against terrorism and extremism and transit of goods. Tehran, Ankara and Baku agreed to ensure regional peace and security and the Iranian Minister stressed the need to stick to their international commitments and respect international law. He also called for the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh dispute. The mechanism to set up the foreign ministerial meeting among Iran, Azerbaijan and Turkey pursues objectives including exchanging views on trilateral and regional issues on the basis of understanding and ways to strengthen stability and security. The meeting also adopted the Ramsar Declaration.
