Culture Min.: Iran Always Favors Peace, Security For All Nations

Tehran, May 27, IRNA - Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini said on Saturday that Iran has always favored establishing peace, welfare and security for all nations. Hosseini made the remarks in a meeting with a media delegation participating in the first conference on issues facing the press in Iran and Persian speaking countries, held in Tehran. Resistance and perseverance lead to victory over enemies, Hosseini said, adding that the Islamic Republic pursues certain goals and causes which it tries to protect and offer them as suitable models to other nations. "Iran has always been against oppression and oppressors and will always support people," he said. Pointing to Iran's nuclear talks with G5+1, the culture minister said Iran will firmly follow its own goals. "Despite the media campaign of western countries aiming to misportray Iran as war monger, Tehran will keep on struggling for world justice," Hosseini added. Stressing that Iran's ties with other states and nations have always been based on friendship and sincerity, Hosseini expressed hope that exchange of delegations would lead to expansion of ties especially in the field of culture among nations./end
