Indonesian Envoy Demands Confronting Sacrilege To Holy Prophet

Isfahan, Sept 29, IRNA – The Indonesian envoy to the Inter-Parliamentary Union of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation called on the body to adopt proper measures to confront sacrilege to the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH).
Surahman Hedayat made the remarks here Saturday during the 28th meeting of the executive committee of the Inter-Parliamentary Union of the OIC member states.
He said human rights and freedom of thought are solely for the purpose of global peace.
He said the present meeting in Tehran is significant since the Islamic countries are facing challenges both unprecedented in their histories and unpredictable.
He added that the present situation demands constructive interaction among member states.
Hedayat further called on Iran to take a bigger share in the organization’s activities.
The Indonesian envoy further stressed that such sensitive decisions as the ones pertaining to Palestine and Ghaza should be made in a proper and exact manner.
He believed that the meeting should also focus on most important issues affecting the Islamic world including unity among Muslims and situations in Palestine and Syria.
Ten countries, namely Iran, Indonesia, sudan, Uganda, the United Arab Emirates, Mali, Chad, Algeria, Turkey and Senegal are taking part in the meeting. Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Togo and Cameron are absent./end
