Iran Embassy In Kabul Rejects News Item Published In Afghan Media
Kabul, May 13, IRNA -- Iran Embassy in Kabul here Sunday rejected as baseless the news item published in some media of Afghanistan on illegal entry of some individuals through Iranian borders.
The embassyˈs written protest adds that in case the reliability of such news would be proved it would be a source for feeling sorry, as the legal paths for entering Iran are open.
The communiqué of the Islamic Republic of Iran Embassy in Kabul further emphasizes that it has received no reports to confirm the news item, noting, ˈThe shared borders of the two countries are controlled by the border guards of the two countries and if the credibility of such news would be confirmed intensifying the border patrols would be needed to avoid their further occurrence.ˈ
In the communiqué, Iran has meanwhile announced readiness for consultations with Afghanistan and surveying the matter aimed at legalizing the passage of the job- seekers thru the shared border and contributing to solving the unemployment problem in Afghanistan.
In the communiqué of the Iranian embassy also reference is made to the numerous warnings of the Iranian border guards that distinguishing the hooligans and the drug smugglers from the otherwise innocent intruders of the international borders of the Islamic Republic of Iran at night is truly difficult.
It adds, ˈThe brave border guards of the Islamic Republic of Iran have dedicated more than 5,000 martyrs in their campaign against the hooligans and the narcotic drugs traffickers entering the Iranian soil thru Afghanistan.
The Iranian Embassy has at the end once again asked the Afghan officials to further intensify their close control over their shared borders with Iran and to encourage the Afghan nationals to enter Iran thru legal ways.
Some Afghan media on Sunday issued and broadcasted news on illegal entry of a number of Afghan national into Iran./end
