Iran, A Major World Player: Analyst

Islamabad, March 2, IRNA – A Pakistani analyst on Saturday said that Iran is a major player in international politics and important world issues cannot be resolved without Iranˈs presence. Talking to IRNA, Syed Qandil Abbas, assistant Professor of International Relations at Quaid-e-Azam University said that conspiracy to isolate the Islamic Republic has been failed. “Today the western states are interested in developing relationship with Iran which is the success of Iranian diplomacy,” said the educationist. He said that the Islamic Revolution of Iran completely changed the world scene adding that Iran has shown new path to the world by holding the motto of ‘nor East nor West’. Iran is following independent foreign policy, Abbas said, adding that the Islamic Republic has defeated all anti-Iran conspiracies. He said that after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran emerged as a regional power and now it has transformed into a world power. He reiterated that Iran has set an excellent example of resistance for the world. The analyst said the Islamic Revolution of Iran is a source of inspiration for many world movements. He said that Iran has never yielded to western pressure that is why the country is progressing in all sectors. “Iran, by exploring its indigenous potentials, has defeated all kinds of sanctions,” said the educationist. Abbas said that western countries are in a new type of relationship with Iran./end
