Iran-Sudan Underline Expansion Of Bilateral Ties

Tehran, May 22, IRNA – Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi and Advisor to Sudan's president, Mustafa Othman Ismail on Monday discussed ways of expanding Tehran-Khartoum relations.
Salehi told Ismail that Iran is ready to enforce formerly reached agreements with Sudan.
He pointed to long record of the Iranian nation and government’s tolerance of heavy political pressures and economic sanctions and their strong endeavors and progress in various domains and said Iran is ready to put its experience at Sudan’s disposal.
Ismail, thanking the Iranian government for its all-out support for the Sudanese government and nation under various conditions, asked for continued support and Iran’s active contribution to Sudan’s economic, industrial and agricultural development.
He also asked the Iranian private sector to get involved in development projects in Sudan.
He hoped for restoration of stability to the region./end
