Iran VP In Kabul

Kabul, Sept 29, IRNA - Vice-President in Executive Affairs Mohammad Shariatmadari arrived in the Afghan capital on Monday Morning. Upon arrival, Shariatmadari was welcomed by Iranian Ambassador to Kabul Mohammad-Reza Bahrami and Afghan officials. He is set to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Afghan president-elect Ashraf Ghani on behalf of President Hassan Rouhani. Speaking to IRNA prior to his departure to Kabul, Shariatmadari said that Iran attaches great importance to establishment of peace, stability and tranquility in the neihboring Afghanistan. He also voiced Iran's willingness to reinforce its all-out ties with Afghanistan unity government./end
