Iranian Detained In Azerbaijan Back Home

Baku, Dec 1, IRNA – An Iranian national detained in Azerbaijan for displaying alleged “suspicious behavior” in front of the Zionist regime embassy left here for Tehran Sunday morning. According to Mohsen Mowlaie who is in charge of consular affairs in the Iranian embassy in Baku, Hassan Faraji was released from the prison on Friday but was not able to leave the country because of some border issues. He said that Faraji had met the Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan before leaving Baku during which he dismissed all allegations against him by the Zionist regime embassy officials. He said Faraji also dismissed allegations that he was arrested near the Zionist regime embassy in Baku. Mowlaie quoted Faraji as saying that he had traveled to Baku for business purposes and was released after he was proved innocent after interrogations. The release of Faraji by the Azeri officials foiled the extensive propaganda by Zionist media that were trying to say he was arrested for taking action against the Zionist embassy staff./end
