Iran's Armed Forces Will Strongly Respond Any Threat : Commander

Tehran, Sept 23, IRNA – Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Army Brigadier General Abdolrahim Mousavi said Sunday that any presence of arrogant powers or of their allies in the Iranian border areas would be regarded as a threat against the country which will be strongly responded. Speaking on the sidelines of a local ceremony here, Mousavi said Iran's armed forces are fully prepared to react to any possible threat against the country's national security. Referring to the latest war games launched in the region by western countries and their regional allies, he said Tehran does not pay any attention to such moves and considers them as regular events. Forces of Army, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Basij (Volunteer) would jointly protect national borders in full coordination, Mousavi stressed./end
