IRNA's New Managing Director Appointed

Tehran, Jan 8, IRNA – Majid Omidi Shahraki on Monday was appointed the new managing director of the Islamic Republic News Agency. Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Hosseini issued a decree assigning Majid Omid Shahraki to undertake post of IRNA managing director. Hosseini outlined professional responsibility of the news agency providing the nation with information. He reminded principles of reporting news -- accuracy and speed -- the main elements to win the trust of people. Shahraki has already served as director general for political and security affairs of the president's office. Shahraki replaced the president's press advisor Ali Akbar Javanfekr./end
