Kabul Keen On Growing Ties With Iran : Afghan Diplomat

Kabul, Aug 4, IRNA – Spokesman for Afghan Foreign Ministry said Sunday that his country is willing to boost ties with Iran during the tenure of new Iranian President Hassan Rohani. Janan Mosazai made the remarks at his weekly news conference, saying Afghanistan and Iran enjoy friendly and brotherly ties based on mutual respect. He said Iran has constantly supported the Afghan stance at international arenas. Referring to visit to Tehran of Afghan President Hamid Karzai to attend the swearing-in ceremony of President Rohani, Mosazai said the trip indicates profound bilateral relations between the two nations./end
