MP: Majlis Supports More Parliamentary Co-op With Poland

Tehran, Oct 7, IRNA – Head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said Majlis welcomes more parliamentary cooperation with Poland and is ready to take steps in this regard. According to the report of Majlis Media Office, Boroujerdi, in a meeting with Poland Senate member and head of Poland-Iran parliamentary friendship group Machi Grubaski here on Saturday, called for expansion of ties in all fields. Referring to recent crisis in the region, Boroujerdi stressed that defending peace and stability in the region is among the most important goals of Iran's foreign policy. In this direction, the Iranian MP underlined necessity of more consultations between the two countries. Grubaski, for his part, expressed pleasure with visiting Iran and meeting with officials and emphasized his country's intention to expand ties with Tehran. He appreciated Iran's role in reducing crisis in the Middle East and underlined necessity of using peaceful means to settle regional and international crises./end
