Nations Convergence To Benefit Islamic World : Tunisia FM

Tunis, April 28, IRNA – Foreign Minister of Tunisia Rafik Abdessalem said here that convergence among the Muslim nations will serve their interests. Abdessalem told IRNA that the Islamic nations, including Iran and Tunisia, share identical values and cultures, underlining the need for strengthening relations among Muslim states. On the recent visit to Tunisia of Iran’s Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, Abdessalem said the visit paved the way for further boost in Tehran-Tunis cooperation in all areas. The Tunisian FM announced that he is planned to travel to Iran in the near future. Referring to the latest developments in Syria, he expressed hoped that the country would witness peace and tranquility soon./end
