PM addresses parliament session

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister Ch.Saikhanbileg attended Friday’s parliamentary session to make a statement. He said, addressing the tax-evading entities, “you should pay your taxes. Do not wait for the enactment of laws on Economic Amnesty and Economic Transparency, both of which will not neither cut nor increase the taxes”. The bills submitted to parliament will include, if adopted, a resolution to refund the certain percentage of the tax income drawn from entities that have annual sales income of 1.5 billion or less, he added. The Cabinet planned to take number of measures in a scope of “tax renovation”, for instance, it facilitate citizens with a possibility to be granted with 20 percent of their paid taxes as benefits, and will renovate the double tax agreements signed with 25 countries during the transitional economy. The Cabinet considered as important to “throw light on” the mining tax environment, he added. The ministers intend to refine the royalty system, without increasing taxation amounts. “A law concerning the online tax communications will be submitted”, he added. Mr Saikhanbileg also spoke about changing the tax-dispute settling system into a one-phase action. It is not fair to impose more responsibilities on those who reported but did not pay in given time than those who dodged their payable taxes, said the PM and pledged to resolve the unjust regulations.
