Rodong Sinmun Denounces U.S. and S. Korean Authorities' Smear Campaign against DPRK

Pyongyang, December 11 (KCNA) -- The south Korean authorities held the 14th south Korea-U.N. "disarmament and non-proliferation" meeting in Seoul. The meeting reportedly held on the theme of "unfinished task for a safer world" discussed the issue of ensuring security through someone's "solution of the nuclear issue" as an important one. Rodong Sinmun Friday says in a commentary in this regard: The meeting was a despicable "masked ball" of political swindlers who worked hard to deceive others and meet their own interests. Those who have posed a constant nuclear threat to the DPRK over the past decades held a meeting even by abusing the name of the UN and had the effrontery to paint victims as assailants and provocateurs. It is none other than the U.S. and south Korea who are chiefly to blame for arms race and nuclear proliferation disturbing peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and in the rest of the world. They are nuclear war maniacs and heinous nuclear criminals who deserve a stern punishment by all Koreans and the international community. The status of the DPRK as a full-fledged nuclear weapons state is unchallenged and its nuclear deterrent serves as a treasured sword of justice to achieve a final victory in the confrontation with forces hostile to it. -0-
