Solidarity Of Syrian People, Gov’t Will Make West Hold Diplomatic Talks: MP

Tehran, Jan 8, IRNA – Senior member of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) said Tuesday that the existing solidarity between the Syrian government and people would force West to settle the crisis through diplomatic talks. Member of Majils National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Abbas-Ali Mansouri Arani told IRNA that the present coordination between people and government of Syria forced US and certain regional states to gradually abandon the idea of a military action against the country and look for diplomatic talks instead. The MP reiterated Tehran’s support for resolving the Syrian crisis through peaceful diplomatic solutions. "Tehran, from the very beginning of the Syrian crisis, believed in solving the problem through negotiations,” said the MP, noting that presently US and other western states are heading towards talks./end
