Students, Employees Of Islamabad University Rallies Against Anti-Islam Film

Islamabad, Sept 25, IRNA -- Hundreds of employees and students of an university in the Pakistani capital here Monday held a peaceful protest rally to condemn the release of blasphemous movie. The protest was jointly organized by Employees Welfare Association (EWA), Officers Welfare Association (OWA) and students of Quaid-i-Azam University, (QAU), Islamabad. A large number of employees, students and teachers of the university participated in the rally. The protesters marched form University cafeteria to Babu-ul-Quaid. They were holding banners and placards with slogans expressing their anger against the blasphemous act. Speaking on the occasion, Sayed Nazar Husain Shah, President Employees Welfare Association, said that Muslims will never tolerate blasphemy against the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He emphasized the need of unity among the Muslim Ummah and Muslim Leaders to counter the anti-Islam propaganda. While addressing the rally, Qari Muhammad Yasin, Vice President of Officers Welfare Association (OWA), said that all Islamic countries should work together to implement an international law to avoid the blasphemous acts in future./end
