Venezuela’s president plans to visit Moscow in near future

MOSCOW, January 19. /TASS/. Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro has said that he has plans to make a visit to Moscow in the near future. "We are solidary with the fraternal people of Russia," Maduro said during a teleconference at Venezuela’s embassy in Moscow, answering a TASS question. "I hope that soon I will be with this message in Moscow." A source with Venezuela’s embassy to Russia has confirmed to TASS that the visit is scheduled for this year’s first three months. Maduro paid his first-ever visit to Moscow on July 1-2, 2013. At the time, he attended the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) and held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. On January 5, 2015, on the way to China, Maduro made a stopover in Moscow to meet with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov at the Russian capital’s Vnukovo-2 airport.
