Westerwelle: Meeting With Zarif Intensive, But Hope-inspiring

New York, Sept 25, IRNA – German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle here Tuesday evening evaluated his meeting with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly as “intensive, but meanwhile hope inspiring”. According to the DPA, Westerwelle appreciated the change in Iran’s tone and transparency in dialogue saying that this approach has created lots of hope for dynamism in the nuclear talks. “The (new) tone has created a long leap that needs to be employed today aimed at achieving real and conceptual progress,” Westerwelle reiterated. According to DPA, Westerwelle also talked with President Hassan Rohani in New York on Tuesday night. Westerwelle who is the head of the German delegation at the UN General Assembly this year is one of the leaders of Germany’s Liberal Democratic Party./end
