Second health team to leave for Somalia

ANKARA (A.A) - Second Turkish health team will leave for Somalia later on Thursday. Ministry of Health officials told the A.A that the team including nine doctors, 13 health personnel and a cook would replace the first team which would return to Turkey on Friday.
Meanwhile, officials from the Ministry of Health and the Prime Ministry Disasters and Emergency Management Agency carried out feasibility works in Somalia to erect mobile hospitals in Mogadishu. They also held talks with Somalia health minister and visited the camps around the capital. A Turkish team has been helping Somali people in a mobile hospital in Mogadishu since August 18. They have treated 13,351 patients so far. The Turkish ship carrying six ambulances and a generator arrived in Somalia on September 11. Ambulances are transferring patients from camps to hospital. Turkey also sent 55 tons of medicine and medical equipment to Somalia. (UK-MS)
