Azerbaijani female weightlifter Anastasia Ibrahimli wins Baku 2017 gold

Baku, May 15, AZERTAC On the third day of the fourth Islamic Solidarity Games weightlifting competition, Azerbaijani athlete Anastasia Ibrahimli achieved five Games records and won gold in the women's 63 kg. Elnara Abbasova who also competed in the 63 kg category took a bronze medal. Ibrahimli lifted 100 kg in power snatch and 119 kg in hang snatch. In total Anastasia Ibrahimli lifted 219 kg (100+119) and won gold in both weight categories. She achieved a total of 5 Games records. Fidan Huseynzadeh lifted 69 kg in power snatch and 88 kg in hang snatch. In total she lifted 157 kg (69+88) and took the seventh place in this weight category. Firuza Ibrahimova and Elnara Abbasova also represented Azerbaijan in the Women's 63kg weightlifting competitions. Elnara Abbasova lifted 82 kg in power snatch and 102kg in hang snatch. In total she lifted 184kg (82+102) and claimed a bronze medal. Firuza Ibrahimova lifted 180kg (80+100) and took fifth place.
