Rouhani Felicitates National Volleyball Team’s FIVB Finalist Ranking

Tehran, June 30, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani in a message addressed to national Iranian volleyball team congratulated their Sunday night ranking as a finalist of FIVB after beating Poland for a 2nd time in Tehran and gaining 19 points equal to Italy. In his message President Rouhani has praised the team’s pride inspiring success in ranking a finalist of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and filling the hearts of the Iranian nation with joy. “This precious victory is the result of long term approach and planning for volleyball that has led to your eye-catching superiority in confrontation with big world powers in volleyball and hope and belief of the dear youth of the dear Islamic Iran in their own competence,” said President Rouhani in his message. The president has meanwhile expressed hope in his message that this victory would also serve as a model for the country’s other sports teams so that they, too, will identify the enthusiastic talented youth of the country, train them well, and lead to the continual victories and prosperity of the offspring of Iran is world sports fields.
