Tabriz, nice destination for Turkish tourists: Governor

Tabriz, East Azarbaijan prov, Nov 23, IRNA – Governor of Tabriz Rahim Shohratifar said the city could serve as an attractive destination for Turkish tourists. In a meeting with the governor generals of Igdir and Agri provinces of Turkey on Tuesday, he said the two countries enjoyed many cultural and religious common points. He also referred to centuries-old good commercial and economic relations between the two countries and said both governments are keen to further develop relations. The official said easier traveling opportunities and safe border crossing will encourage tourism. The Turkish officials appreciated the hospitality of Tabriz officials and said the fact that tourists are warmly welcomed to the city adds to the attraction of this northwest Iran city. 1378/IRNA
