Islamic organization's head due to Australia

JEDDAH (A.A) - February 7, 2012 - The secretary general of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will travel to Australia on Sunday, his office said on Tuesday. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu will be the formal guest of Australian Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd during his stay in this country. Ihsanoglu will be the first OIC secretary general ever to pay a formal visit to Australia. The OIC secretary general will meet many Australian executives, particularly Prime Minister Julia Gillard, and discuss relations between OIC and Australia. During his visit, Ihsanoglu is expected to sign a cooperation agreement with Australia. Ihsanoglu's visit will cover Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane and Melbourne.
